Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic
The Clinton Township Parks & Recreation Department will offer the
Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic for Volunteer Coaches and Managers.
The course will be instructed by a Rutgers certified clinician and is based on the Minimum Standards for Volunteer Coaches, Safety and Orientation and Training Skills Programs (N.J.A.C. 5:52). The curriculum includes legal and psychological aspects of coaching, general concepts of training and conditioning athletes and medical/first aid instruction.
Attendees will receive Way To Coach, the Coaches’ Reference Manual. Upon completion each attendee will receive the S.A.F.E.T.Y Certification Card and permanent registration with NJRPA. Coaches from all youth organizations are welcome.
Pre-registration is required. The deadline is Tuesday, September 14. Late arrivals to the clinic will not be admitted - be sure to be on time to the clinic.
